Just for those of you who don't know, Captain Mike Keller retired at the end of April after a 30 plus year career with SRPD. I am not sure what his retirement plans are but I am sure his wife Lynette will have plenty for him to do around the house.
Lieutenant Erik Masterson is wrapping up his 30 year career with SRPD. He is retiring on June 30th. We are having a BBQ in the back parking lot at the PD for Erik on Wednesday, June 24th starting at 1130 hours. Everyone is invited to come down and say hi. After the BBQ, we will be going to the Wild Fox in Novato (around 1700) to celebrate Erik's retirement with some adult beverages. The San Rafael Police Mid-Managers Association is buying drinks and appetizers for everyone for the first hour or so. We would love to see any of the retired officers from the area to come to the BBQ, the Wild Fox, or both!!!

What a great BBQ! I really enjoyed saying "Hi" to everybody and being able to wish Erik a wonderful retirement. It was great to see all the retired and active SRPD folks. It sounded to me like many of the still working people wished they were retired already! Just wait, your time will be here sooner than you know it!
