You should also explore your options for using Adobe Reader when opening an Adobe Reader file (pdf) from a website.  My suggestion is to set your preferences to open Adobe Reader itself rather than open the file inside your web browser.

If you haven’t done so yet, please be sure to check your privacy settings and set them according to your preferences.  If you’re not sure where to find them, look in the upper right corner for “Account” then left click on it and you’ll see all the various settings for your account including the Privacy settings.  Review them carefully and make your choices wisely.

FYI, almost all of my settings are for “Friends Only”.

I do use Internet Explorer 8 several times each day but most of the time I use it with the “Compatibility” feature turned on so the websites I visit work OK.
