If you haven’t done so yet, please be sure to check your privacy settings and set them according to your preferences.  If you’re not sure where to find them, look in the upper right corner for “Account” then left click on it and you’ll see all the various settings for your account including the Privacy settings.  Review them carefully and make your choices wisely.

FYI, almost all of my settings are for “Friends Only”.

I started using Twitter about a year ago and the knowledge that all my "tweets” (postings) are now preserved in the Library of Congress gives me reason to pause.

I’m not sure this is a good thing or not nor am I convinced this is a good use of our tax dollars.  I think I’d rather see the tax dollars go towards preserving other types of data, such as genealogical data, that, to me at least, is worth far more than our tweets.

This is a very informative article.  The reasons he gives for changing to Firefox and to Chrome are very valid.  I’ve changed to using Firefox and Chrome as my primary web browsers. 

I do use Internet Explorer 8 several times each day but most of the time I use it with the “Compatibility” feature turned on so the websites I visit work OK.
