Eastman's Online Genealogy Newsletter: Tweet Preservation

I started using Twitter about a year ago and the knowledge that all my "tweets” (postings) are now preserved in the Library of Congress gives me reason to pause.

I’m not sure this is a good thing or not nor am I convinced this is a good use of our tax dollars.  I think I’d rather see the tax dollars go towards preserving other types of data, such as genealogical data, that, to me at least, is worth far more than our tweets.
